LCC International will the be exclusive supplier of certain radio frequency (RF) field engineering services
Berwyn, PA, June 18, 2008 —TruePosition, Inc., a leading provider of wireless location solutions and a subsidiary of Liberty Media Corporation, today announced that LCC International, a leader in wireless voice and data turnkey services, will be its supplier of certain radio frequency (RF) field engineering services for its location-based safety and security solutions.
Under multiyear outsourcing agreements signed by the companies, LCC International will provide technical staff and a range of engineering field services to TruePosition. These services support TruePosition location solution deployments with U.S. operators of GSM networks, including AT&T and T-Mobile. To comply with the Federal Communications Commission Phase II mandate for E9-1-1, the operators are required to provide location information for 911 calls originating from mobile phones to public safety answering points. LCC will deliver design, installation, commissioning, and drive testing these networks.
