TruePosition’s Michael Amarosa Named Chairman of the E9-1-1 Institute Board of Directors

Berwyn, PA – Jan. 22, 2009 – TruePosition, a leading provider of wireless location technologies and solutions and a subsidiary of Liberty Media Corporation, announced today that Michael Amarosa, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs, has been elected Board Chairman of the E9-1-1 Institute Board of Directors. The organization, which has more than 1,000 members nationwide, holds an annual election for representatives from public safety, industry, and non-profit representatives.

The E9-1-1 Institute is a not-for-profit organization that provides administrative and policy support to the Congressional E9-1-1 Caucus. Its purpose is to promote public education and awareness of E9-1-1 and emergency communications issues and serve the Congressional E9-1-1 Caucus as a clearinghouse of information on E9-1-1 and emergency communications issues.

“It is an honor to serve as the Chairman for the Board of Directors and I look forward to another productive year for the E9-1-1 Institute,” said Michael Amarosa. “By working together to enhance the public awareness and education of emergency communications in the U.S., we will ensure the continued success of E9-1-1 and the improvement of public safety overall.”

Mr. Amarosa joins the other continuing members of the E9-1-1 Institute Board of Directors: Gregory Rohde (E9-1-1 Institute Executive Director), Brian Fontes (NENA Representative), George Rice (APCO Representative), Richard Taylor (NASNA Representative) Mary Boyd and Janice Partyka (Vendor, Integrator, Software Representatives), Art Prest (Small Telecommunication Carrier Representative) and David Aylward (Non Profit Organization Representative).

In addition, the E9-1-1 Institute membership elected the following six new individuals to the Board of Directors: Jim Bugel of AT&T, representing the large telecommunication carriers; Laura Carter, Vice President-Federal Government Affairs, Alltel, representing the wireless industry; Angel Arocho of Comcast, representing IP-Enabled providers; Brad Bernthal, J.D., Associate Clinical Professor of Law, Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program, University of Colorado Law School, representing the academic position; Thera Bradshaw President of TKC Consulting Group, LLC, representing the membership at large; Paul Fahey Government Affairs Director, PlantCML, representing the membership at large.
